Tanner Creek Tavern is Portland chef and restaurateur David Machado’s neighborhood eating and drinking establishment in the Pearl District. Our 5,000 square foot space is located at NW 9th and Everett. It features a grand rectangular bar and large hydraulic glass garage doors that open seasonally.
The décor in the dining room, lounge area, bar, two private dining rooms, and outdoor seating, will link to the city’s early industrial history with concrete, steel, reclaimed Douglas Fir beams, tile, and glass.
Tanner Creek was named for an old tannery built by an early Portland settler in 1845. It still traces an underground path beneath the Pearl and flows into the Willamette River near the Broadway Bridge.
